The Junior World Championship of Endurance in Buftea, Romania, revealed its results, placing the Tunisian team in 6th place out of 22 participating teams and nine ranked nations. Tunisia honored the African continent and the Arab world by being the only participating team to achieve a ranking.
This is a very satisfying result, with athletic performances recorded for the first time at the national and international level by the pairing of rider Ayoub Aloui and horse IBN Al Maury (Aziz Association), with an average speed of 19.3 km/h, never before recorded even in his races in Tunisia (national and international).
Out of 84 starters, the individual results of our pairs were as follows:
- Rider Ayoub Aloui and horse IBN Al Maury ranked 19th with an average speed of 19.3 km/h.
- Rider Haithem ROUISSI with the horse EMIR EL ARZ ranked 34th with an average speed of 15.48 km/h.
- Rider Youssef JAWADI with the mare INAYET ranked 35th with an average speed of 15.48 km/h.
- Rider Mohamed BAATOUT with the mare KINCHASSA FRIDA, eliminated on the 4th loop due to lameness.
Despite the difficulties encountered before the start, with a significant delay in the delivery of the team's visas, resulting in their arrival just in time to participate, and the lack of national sponsors, forcing parents, associations, and the Tunisian Equestrian Sports Federation to dip into their own budgets to participate.
Congratulations to the entire team and delegation.
